Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

Here at FBCU’s Children Ministry, we are about two objectives:

Introducing kids to Jesus and His Word and Encouraging families to commit to the adventure of following Christ.

Our First Look ministry (preschool) is about giving preschoolers their first look at who God is.

We  teach them 3 main points from birth (6 weeks) – PreK 5 to develop our preschoolers with a solid foundation
  • God made me
  • Jesus loves me
  • Jesus wants to be my best friend

Our KidStuf (elementary) ministry is about equipping kids with the proper spiritual tools to help them navigate their walk with Jesus Christ. There are three main points that we teach our kids each week.

  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
  • I need to make the wise choice.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Awana is our Wednesday night program that runs through the school year 6:30pm – 8:00 pm. Awana is the place where children age 2 years old – 5th grade have the opportunity to dive into God’s Word. The children in Awana get to study the Bible, memorize verses, play games, and earn awards for their achievements. Awana is the place to be on a Wednesday night during the school year.

“The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!” Proverbs 20:7
